Planned outcomes

After completing this guide, you will be able to control a ROS-Industrial robot from Unity through the means of Robot Control Server (RCS).

Prerequisites

Before you proceed, make sure that you have:

• a ROS RCS configured for your robot
• configured a ROS workspace
• and installed JetBrains Toolbox and PyCharm
• a model of your robot imported in Unity (⚠How to import robot model to Unity from URDF )

Steps

Quick WIP step:

• Import robot into scene
• Remove Controller from it
• Add Kinematics Data Provider to the robot
• Create empty container for the robot
  • Create parent object for the robot (Create Empty)
  • Give it robot’s name
  • Reset position
